Artist Of The Month
Joanne Crouch is the new artist of the month for AARS.
Joanne is one of the founding members of AARS, which was started in 2007.
Currently she is the president of the association, and also works as a full time nurse in Batesburg-Leesville.
Joanne is a multi-talented artist, and has won numerous awards with her artwork, she is a painter, a sculpture of gourds, she also does encaustic wax , and makes custom jewelry, just to name a few of her talents.
She loves exploring new mediums and is currently experiencing with new items to create with the use of resin, She plans on releasing some resin sculptures in the near future. She is planning to do at least one public art piece in 2020, and also to increase exhibiting more of her art work in the coming year.
Joanne is looking forward to retirement in a few years, and then being able to delegate more time to pursuing her passion in the art field.
She is also a great asset to Ridge Spring‘s having served on several committees and functions in the town like “Harvest Festival” , so be sure and stop in to the Art Center, and be amazed by the talent that she has to offer.
